Color Me Bad
African-Americans come in all shades and hues of brown. The rainbow is the quintessential symbol of the LGBT community, and the beauty of life comes in appreciating the diversity of color. COLOR ME BAD is an artistic and colorful expo pushing the limits of the status quo of black and white. In a setting of live painting, eye-catching models, body painting, tattoo artists, music of all shades, and other color-bending artistry; individuals are invited to become one in an experimental space where colors are encouraged to blend and be bold at free will. Members of the LGTBQ community, friends, and supporters will come together to participate in what will be a profound sensory experience.
Funds raised from this event will support The Little Black Pearl (TLBP), which is a non-profit cultural arts center located in the Kenwood/Oakland neighbors. TLBP provides opportunities in art, culture and entrepreneurship to youth, adults and families across Chicago. For over 10-years TLBP has successfully proven that it is possible to marry art and entrepreneurship through real life application of talent, interest and skills.
CWCBP greatest HOPE, is to BRIDGE the gap within the COMMUNITY and gain a greater sense of RESPECT, UNDERSTANDING, and UNITY among ALL. This event will not be possible without the support of individuals, corporations, and others like you. Included are the various levels of sponsorship we would like you to consider. We thank you in advance and we are grateful that you are considering serving as a sponsor to support the 1st Annual COLOR ME BAD Exposition.

Funds raised from this event will support CHICAGO GAY BLACK MEN’S CAUCUS (CGBMC) whose mission is to mobilize and empower Black gay men and their allies to prevent new HIV infections by addressing the health needs and well-being of gay Black men. Established in 2005, CGBMC has become the premier organization providing health advocacy and HIV & AIDS awareness, testing, and post-infection supports to Black men in Chicago. Every 9 ½ minutes an individual both gay and straight is infected with HIV in the United States. As such, this is a health concern for all. In response CWCBP will offer participants the opportunity to receive free confidential HIV testing as well as other health related awareness and testing.
